Floral in Black, Red, and White

Here is my card for this week's black, red, and white challenge at Bloggers Challenge. Once I knew what the challenge was, I decided that I wanted to use this background paper. My good friend (and, would you believe, college roommate for four years from many years ago) gave me some beautiful handmade paper for Christmas. It was made in Nepal from the Lokta plant by women in small-cottage industry co-operatives. The paper is really gorgeous and this piece was perfect for the black and white part of the challenge. The flower image is an old stamp. I don't even know who made it. However, the openness of the petals and leaves made it a perfect candidate to try out the Zen stamping technique from the current TJ newsletter. I added a red panel and a red cardbase and voila, the challenge was met.
