Creative Chemistry 102 -- Day 5

Rusting with Distress Powder and Sticky Powder with Glitter

Sticky Powder with Leafing and Shabby Chic

Tarnished Silver and Chalkboard
It only took me six months to finish my tags for Creative Chemistry 102. (Three of the months were spent in the hospital.) Catch up is always difficult, but I was determined to do it. Now my task is to work on the tag book that Tim shared at the end of the classes. I've got the components; I just need to find the time. I will!

Creative Chemistry 102 -- Day 4

Faux Patina and Tinted Tinsel

Ombré and Monoprint

Faded Layers
Today I decided to enjoy myself and work on the tags for day 4 of Creative Chemistry 102. I've got one more set of tags for day 5. I wish I could have done the class along with everyone else, but it was important to get my health back. So here I am late with my classwork, but much healthier.

Creative Chemistry 102 -- Day 3

Smudge Stamping and Brayered Stains

Photo Tinting and Faux Cracked Glass
Distress Glitter Rock Candy and Distress Glittering
Today I decided to take a break from challenges. As I have said before, I was in the hospital during the time period of the Creative Chemistry 102 classes. Today I worked on day 3. There are only two more days to go and I'll be caught up. I wish I could have participated in the live classes, but I'm so happy that I am able to participate after the fact.

Creative Chemistry 102 - Day 2

Mixed-Media Layering and Embossing with Stencils

Embossing through Stencils and Stencil Stamping

Stencil Sketching and Ink Monoprint

Paint Monoprint
Today I spent my studio time working on the tags for day 2 of Creative Chemistry 102 (Tim Holtz). Even though the techniques have often been introduced by Tim, I've learned a lot. I especially love that Tim provided labels for each technique, so each tag is a reminder of how to do the technique and what the technique looks like.

Creative Chemistry 102 Day 1

Distress Paint Marbling and Colored Crackle

Altered Surface and Eroded Metallic

Stamping Resist and Industrial
Since the start of Creative Chemistry 102 with Tim Holtz coincided with the start of my long hospital stay, I wasn't able to do any of the techniques until now. The class was 5 days in length and featured 30 techniques. Today I finished the last of the first day's techniques. I am so glad that even though I had to miss the fun of participation as the class progressed, at least I am able to follow the classes and participate after the fact.
