Bon Voyage

Since all of the July challenges at Gingersnap Creations were Steampunk/Travel related, I thought I would end the month with something that went with all the travel themes -- a suitcase card. The challenge 112 was a color challenge to use leather, iron and brass. For leather I used both the blue faux leather paper for the straps and handle and distressed glassine paper for the actual case. The corners are iron with a bit of rust. The grommets are my brass. I've been wanting to play around with the vintage valise die from Tim Holtz. The stickers are from the salvage stickers collection.

Oh my gosh, it's a Vagabond, LOL! Finally got mine, have yet to put the stickers on. LOVE all the fabulous texture and distressing on your suitcase, the pop of the blue straps keeps it so lively, and the travel stickers are wonderful, the perfect finishing touch.
