David in Shabby Chic

This week the Grungy Monday challenge has us go back to 2007.  The challenge is Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas, 2007, Day 10, shabby chic. As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew that I wanted to use David (TH stamp). Although I have plenty of black cardstock, I decided to use Tim's method of painting the background black. I used the sail boat blue, cloudy blue, and willow paint dabbers for my colors. The sentiment and the tag are also from Tim's stamps. I think David looks impressive coming out of the color.
