Critter Sketch Challenge 24 and Try That Technique Metallic Explosion
This week I was able to combine the Critter Sketch challenge which was a sketch challenge with the Try That Technique technique challenge. The technique challenge was Metallic Explosion from the August 2006 newsletter. The background was done using the Metallic Explosion technique on black matte cardstock. I used silver and copper metallics alcohol ink with plum and lettuce. When I did the technique, it reminded me of a sea fan, so I headed to my sea stamps. The two fish are from Fred Mullett. The sea horse, sea shell, and words are from Oxford Impressions. The ribbon with the sea shells was from my stash. I used my Creative Impressions paints to add the silver metallic color to the shells. I also use the paints to edge the image panels. The shimmer of the paints added to the metallic shimmer of the technique.

Great card- that sketch is challenging too! Love your theme and using the CI paints- wish the shimmer would show!!!
Love your "Critter Sketch" with the metalllic explosion. They work perfect together! Pretty color. TFS! (I'm originally from Belvidere, just about 90 miles west of Chicago. Lots of family still up your way....)
