Play Date Cafe Challenge 36
Play Date Cafe this week was a two fold one. The official challenge is to use the colors red, white, and pink. The design team added a little inside challenge which is to use the Tim Holtz birdcage die. Because I used several dimensional objects on my card, I had to photograph the card and as many of you know, photography is not one of my strengths. For the background I used paper from Tim Holtz's paper stack, Vintage Shabby in pink. The birdcage and hanger (a portion of the hanging sign) are from Tim Holtz's alterations line. The birdcage is hung from the hanger by a hitch. The birdcage is diecut from a red metallic cardstock and looks so much better than it photographs. I added a little paper lace to the bottom with pearl and crysal hearts. The little fairy is from Stampotique and is colored using the Copic expressions technique from the current Technique Junkies newsletter. The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous, the Tim Holtz line. Both the fairy's wings and the hanger are highlighted with Stickles. The background and elements are layered on a lighter pink card base. I'm really happy with the way this turned out.
