Creative Inspirations Paints and Great Impressions Stamps Blog Hop

Hi and welcome. Today we're celebrating the grand opening of the Great Impressions on-line store with a combined Blog Hop with Creative Impressions Paints and Great Impressions Stamps. If you've arrived here from the Creative Inspirations Paints blog, you're in the right place. If you've come here from somewhere else, you will want to start at the CI blog so you don't miss any of the exciting artwork.

There is a wonderful prize to be won. The prize is going to be 5 jars of CI paint (winner's choice) and a $25.00 gift certificate to Great Impressions. Pretty great, isn't it! All you have to do to qualify for a chance to win is to comment on each of the blogs participating and collect the secret letters from each person to solve the mystery word(s). Then when you've finished leave a comment on the Great Impressions blog (last stop) with the solution. The blog hop will last all weekend from Friday, March 9th at 8:00 am EST until Sunday, March 11th at 8:00 p.m. EST.

My letter for you is R. Your next stop will be with Angi.

My first card features the Victorian Lady stamp from Great Impressions Stamps. The image is painted using spring green, sage, winter frost, mocha latte, copper, sky blue, fuschia, rose quartz, and buttercup. To create the background I brushed fuschia, rose quartz, and buttercup paints on my non-stick craft sheet. I sprayed the paints with water and smooshed the background paper into the paint until the paper was covered. I dry embossed the sheet using a Sizzix embossing folder. The dimensional roses were highlighted using Resplendence Angel Dust glitter from CI.

My second card features the Bird in Roses stamp and Be as a Bird sentiment. The window is a die cut from Spellbinders/Heartfelt Creations. The CI paints used are garnet, sage, chocolate, beige, autumn wheat, lt. purple, sky blue, mocha latte, and antique copper. Around the window I've embellished with clear Jeweled Inspirations from CI.

Here is the list of stops on the blog hop in case there is a problem along the way. Good luck and enjoy the art.
